Durbin: Training Grant Will Help Workers Find Jobs in Renewable Energy

U.S. Senator Dick Durbin announced a $380,000 Recovery Act grant on August 10 to train over 100 displaced workers from the Joliet area to learn the special skills needed to construct and maintain wind turbines.

Durbin Helps Break Ground at New Transportation Center
August 7, 2010

U.S. Senator Dick Durbin participated in the August 7 groundbreaking ceremony for a new multimodal transportation center in Uptown Normal. In addition to a $22 million grant through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Durbin secured another $10 million for the project.
