Protecting and Creating Jobs for First Responders and Teachers

[WASHINGTON, DC] - U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) today joined Vice President Joe Biden, firefighters, teachers and other Senate leaders in calling for quick passage of a bill that will protect and create 14,500 jobs for Illinois educators and keep first responders at their posts throughout the state. The Teachers and Firefighters Back to Work Act will provide assistance to states and local governments to keep over 400,000 educators, cops, and firefighters on the job.
