Main Street Fairness

[SPRINGFIELD, IL] - Durbin spoke with local business owners about the Main Street Fairness Act at the Springfield Running Center. The Act aims to level the playing field between online and "bricks and mortar" merchants by requiring sellers to collect sales taxes that are already owed under current law regardless of whether the seller has a physical presence in the state.
