[WASHINGTON, D.C.] - Six days from reaching the nation?s debt limit, Assistant Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin (D-IL) today urged immediate action on the Senate?s balanced approach to solving the debt crisis, reducing the deficit and protecting the middle class. Durbin was joined by other Democratic leaders in calling for support of the Senate?s debt plan, which the Congressional Budget Office verifies will cut $1.3 trillion more than Speaker John Boehner?s plan.
