Washington, D.C. - Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin (D-IL) questioned James Comey, President Obama's nominee to be the Director of the FBI, about privacy and transparency issues at Mr. Comey's confirmation hearing today. In light of recent revelations about NSA surveillance of American citizens and the secrecy surrounding the decisions of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), Durbin asked Comey if he, as Director of the FBI, would support more transparency when it comes to the FISA court and its decisions.
