Durbin Hosts Illinois Members At Delegation Lunch

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) today hosted members of the Illinois Congressional Delegation at an Illinois Congressional Delegation Luncheon.  Started by the late U.S. Senator Alan J. Dixon, the Illinois Delegation Luncheon has been held regularly in Washington, D.C., at no expense to the federal taxpayer for more than 27 years.

“I always enjoy welcoming my House colleagues to the Senate for our delegation luncheons. Having the opportunity to discuss the issues in their districts helps me better represent Illinois’ interests here in Washington. Our number one goal is to continue working together to help Illinoisans succeed,” Durbin said.

The luncheon today was attended by six members of the Illinois Congressional Delegation: U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), and U.S. Representatives Mike Quigley (D-IL-05), Sean Casten (D-IL-06), Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL-08), Bill Foster (D-IL-11), and Cheri Bustos (D-IL-17).
