Durbin: We Have to Bring Outdated Lead Standards Up To Date

April 11, 2016 - Senator Durbin highlighted new initiatives to address the high rates of lead exposure in cities, large and small, across the country. Durbin has introduced bills to protect children in affordable housing from lead poisoning and update the EPA’s lead and copper regulations to establish mandatory lead testing of pipes and water.
