[WASHINGTON, D.C.] U.S. Senator Dick Durbin shared the story of Danielle Jokela, a resident of Chicago, Illinois, on the floor of the U.S. Senate to highlight the growing student loan debt crisis in America. Jokela went to a school owned by the Career Education Corporation, a for-profit college, and is now saddled with private student loans that will likely cost her roughly $155,000 to pay off entirely.
